Forecaster BMKG Sulbar, Sultan, said that tidal flooding is generally accompanied by heavy rain. However, the Sultan explained that the tidal flood was not related to the extreme weather phenomenon La Nina. Berita politik
“Rob floods have nothing to do with La Nina, because La Nina only affects the potential for increased rainfall. While tidal floods usually occur due to the shift from day to night,” said Sultan, Sunday (11/7/2021).
“We urge residents in the next three days to be aware of high sea levels because it generally occurs at the turn of day to night and is also followed by heavy rains which can cause flooding,” he added.
