Nadiem: Campuses Will Get Sanctions If They Don’t Apply Permendikbudristek

Mendikbudristek Nadiem Makarim reminded universities that do not implement the mechanism for preventing and handling sexual violence (PPKS) will be subject to sanctions. Berita Terkini

The sanctions, according to Nadiem, will be given in various ways to campuses that do not implement the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 30 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in Higher Education.

“If you don’t carry out the PPKS process in accordance with this regulation, there are various kinds of sanctions ranging from finance to accreditation. So there is a real impact,” said Nadiem in a virtual press conference, Friday (11/12/2021).

According to Nadiem, the sanctions against universities were implemented so that the campuses understood the seriousness of the government in preventing cases of sexual violence in universities. Berita politik

Nadiem also hopes that there will be a paradigm shift in universities regarding cases of sexual violence.
